Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Azima Adham has said that a Financial Expo would be held in the Maldives for the first time on 5 October.
Speaking at a press conference by MMA today, Governor Azima said that financial institutes in the country and the financial institutes of the Government would be taking part in the conference.
MMA said that a gallery exhibiting the new “Ran dhiha faheh”, the new currency note series to be introduced by the Maldives along with the currencies used in the country in different eras.
“The most important reason for the financial expo is to inform the public of the financial services and financial information available in the country.” Governor Azima said.
She said that the expo starting on 5 October would be open to the public on 6 and 7 of the month.
Governor Azima said that the MMA requests that as many people visit this Financial Expo.
The information areas at the expo include Housing Finance, Finance of Small and Medium Enterprise and Consumer Finance.
MMA said that the expo would also facilitate information on employment opportunities in the financial sector.
Penal discussions about the financial sector are scheduled to be part of the expo.
